Police Commander Donates Turkeys to Occupy Los Angeles

It’s unclear whether he was hoping the L-tryphotan in the turkey would lull them to sleep and allow the LAPD to have a more peaceful day, or maybe it really was just an act of kindness.

The International Occupy Movement protests economic inequality and corporate greed.  On this Thanksgiving, the local Occupy group in LA is doing what they have been for weeks – occupying the Civic Center Park.  They’re also celebrating the holiday with a feast, and the donation of two stuffed turkeys by an LAPD commander were warmly accepted along with a host of other gifts from donors visiting the tented kitchen outside City Hall.
