Okay, so this is a little overdue, but the financial figures on Hollywood’s Oscar nominees are still relevant and still staggering.  Total box office gross of all movies released in 2012 topped $10 billion.  And did you know there’s a lucrative market for those little golden statues the winners get?  Yup – about 150 have been sold, with sale prices averaging around $1.5 million each.
