A History of American Tax Cuts in the Last 20 Years [infographic]

Check out this infographic if you are curious about how Presidents in the last 20 years have raised or cut taxes for you.

The graphic starts by looking at President Clinton’s Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993: legislation which raised the top tax rate to 39.6%. From there, the infographic details the Bush administration’s stimulus package. It created rebates for all tax filers and looked to eliminate the estate tax by 2010. Similarly, the Obama administration extended many of the Bush era tax cuts and to help the job market recover, it helped pass the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act of 2010.
